Coaching FAQ
Coaching, expectations and contracting
-
• Coaching is a unique partnership, and establishing clear expectations from the beginning is essential for success.
• We’ll begin with a ‘contract’ that details how our relationship will function, the principles and boundaries we’ll adhere to, and the commitments we both agree upon.
• In our first meeting, we’ll engage in a ‘contracting conversation’ to ensure we’re aligned and can incorporate any significant points.
• At the start of each session, we’ll briefly revisit ‘contracting,’ allowing us to refine the contract as the coaching evolves.
• For reference, in coaching, the individual being coached is typically referred to as the ‘client’ and that’s the term I generally use.
